Pickup

Fast and compromise-free opening of a new field and lifting through

  • The ROPA telescopic axle for unique tramline marking
  • No damage to the adjoining ridges
  • Primary lifting mode can be conveniently activated from the terminal

Individual pickup

  • Unlimited visibility of the ridge intake thanks to the sliding pickup system
  • Quick and easy adjustment of the pickup to different ground conditions due to the wide range of standard hydraulic adjustment options
  • Individual pickup configurations for all locations thanks to the wide range of adjustment options

Ridge drum halves

Up to 4 hydraulically driven disc coulters (2x inside, outside left and right)

Plastic ridge drums, hydraulically driven disc coulter outside

Jagged concave disc inside, additional disc coulter outside

Ridge pickup with jagged concave discs on both sides

Automatic functions

Ridge steering

The pickup is guided simply via the automatic ridge steering by measuring the tilt angle of both ridge rollers.Steering signal is recorded via the tilt angle.

Load relief control

1.   The pickup is relieved by a value (relief pressure) set in the terminal

Ridge pr. regulation

1.   Constant measurement of the current contact pressure of the ridge roller

2.   The pickup is raised or lowered so that the contact pressure is constantly adjusted to the value set in the terminal

ROPA quick-change system

  • Special quick-change system thanks to the sliding pickup unit
  • The system spares a lot of time during harvesting thanks to quick and simple change of pickup
  • Neither special tools nor forklift required
  • Easy conversion in the field and by just one person

ROPA swath pickup

Mechanical and hydraulic pre-installations as standard for various ways of use

  • The swath pickup enables the Keiler to harvest potatoes, onions, beetroot and many other crops bedded in the swath in addition to the classic potato ridges
  • The hydraulically driven cover belt and the lifting shaft running in the ground pick up the swath neatly and completely
  • For maximum crop protection, the cover belt and sieve conveyor can transport the crop at the same speed by means of a synchronous run

Onions in the swath

Hydraulically adjustable in height depth-control wheels

Lifting without ridge pressure

The ROPA pickup without ridge rollers is designed for particularly challenging types of soil

  • Pickup is guided via skids along the ridge contour
  • Lifting depth remains freely adjustable
  • Height guide provided by separately controlled and hydraulically adjustable support wheels

The pickup without ridge rollers enables harvesting without any pressure on the ridge. On heavy soils under moist soil conditions or with a high share of sharp-edged stones, it is desirable to avoid any pressure on the potato ridge due to lump formation and in order to avoid potato damage from stones pressed against it.
