We are pleased to present a special cooperation with WDR. As part of the beloved children's program "The Program with the Elephant," an exciting video about potato harvesting with the ROPA Keiler 1 will be published on YouTube. The TV date will probably be over the summer, but has not yet been determined precisely. The video offers the audience, especially children and their parents, fascinating insights into modern agriculture.
WDR approached ROPA in order to help big and small members of the audience understand more about potato harvesting. Sebastian Grünig, plant representative of ROPA Rhineland, received the production team in the field and demonstrated the impressive power of the ROPA Keiler 1 potato harvester.
In the video, Moritz accompanies Farmer Jule, who is harvesting potatoes with the potato harvester. She explains things in a child-friendly manner as follows: "The ROPA Keiler 1 lifts the potatoes from the ground and transports them into the machine. There, the potatoes are separated from the soil on an infeed conveyor and the potato weeds are removed on a weed belt. The pintle belt, equipped with pins, cleans the remaining soil off the potatoes. The roomy potato bunker of the Keiler 1 can hold up to six tons of potatoes, which are then unloaded in a trailer. A tractor pulls the potato harvester during the entire process."
A special highlight of the video is that in the end, Moritz gets to ride on the potato harvester and see the harvest close up. This child-friendly, clear description shows how efficient and user-friendly our machines are.
"The Program with the Elephant" is aimed at children aged 3 to 6 and their parents and offers valuable educational content in an entertaining form. We at ROPA Maschinenbau are proud to be part of this wonderful initiative and to inspire the next generation with regard to agriculture.
