For the best possible service and care - optimally attuned to the requirements of professional, high-performance machines

The ROPA trademark is practical, durable, reliable machines. More than 150 control valves, 39 hydraulic drives, 16 hydraulic pumps and more than 100 cylinders are controlled from the cockpit of the 768 PS ROPA Tiger 6. Power transmission to the hydraulic traction system is handled via a stepless CVR gearbox with three driven axles and automatic slope compensation. More than 3500 feet of hydraulic lines support the extremely high efficiency of the ROPA Tiger 6 and make it one of the most technically complex harvesters available in the agricultural world.

Of course this many drives with complex hydraulics require appropriate care. The use of the optimally attuned oil as lubricant is the most critical care for engine, gearbox and axes. But oil is not oil, even with names that sound the same, there are enormous quality differences. Many machine operators only arrive at this conclusion after costly damage has occurred, when the poor quality or premature aging of the lubrication is determined during an oil analysis.

The optimal lubricants for ROPA machines

In order to give ROPA customers and service centers the certainty that the lubricants used are of optimal quality and ensure a long service life, ROPA has decided to introduce its own product line of perfectly attuned lubricants. ROPA is a certified member of SAIL, the association of European mineral oil producers and dealers; it fulfills ACEA certifications and satisfies the highest quality demands, which are monitored continuously by the European Engine Lubricant Quality Management System (EELQMS).

Our newly introduced ROPA lubricant product line is "100% made in Germany!"

Clear oil product line – order via the ROPA central warehouse and from ROPA service centers

In the future, one motor oil, hydraulic oils, five different gear oils, and one grease will be available from ROPA and its service centers. These will address all areas of application. ROPA lubricants are approved by a wide range of agencies and offer the highest quality at a reasonable price-performance ratio. The ROPA lubricants are available in 20 liter canisters, 60 and 208 liter one-way drums, and in 1000 liter IBC containers. The lubricant is available in 18 and 25 kg pails.

Preventing damage and extending service life for all machine components were the initial reasons for introducing ROPA lubricants. The use of ROPA lubricants is the best way to prevent costly repairs, especially on the diesel motor, axes and gearbox. This is why ROPA service centers all over Europe will soon offer ROPA premium quality lubricants for the maintenance of ROPA machines.

With five different gear oils, ROPA offers the optimal oil for every application

  • ROPA gearOil GL5 90 Gear oil is made from special base oils with appropriate additives. The viscosity setting is selected so that both good backflow behavior at low temperatures and high lubrication reliability at high temperatures are guaranteed. ROPA gearOil GL5 90 gear oil is intended for highly loaded hypoid-geared drive axles, as well as for bevel and spur gears, steering gears and non-synchronized manual transmissions in motor vehicles and power-driven machines with API GL-5 requirements.

  • ROPA gearOil GL5 90 LS is recommended especially for highly loaded hypoid-geared drive axes with self-locking differential gears and multi-disk brakes. ROPA gearOil GL5 90 LS contains special additives to limit slip (Limited-Slip = LS). ROPA gearOil GL5 90 LS fulfills all power requirements posed by hypoid gears with multi-disk locking differentials. It is especially well-suited for all differential gears in ROPA harvesting machines into which wet multi-disk brakes are integrated. Combined manual transmission and axle drives can be supplied, as can vehicles with transfer case with preferred use in agriculture. ROPA gearOil GL5 90 LS can be used in mixed vehicle fleets to reduce the number of types, also for all drive axles with the API GL 5 requirement.

  • ROPA gearOil GL5 75W-90 synth is a completely synthetic easy-running multi-function gear oil for axle gears and manual transmissions that bear the highest loads. The viscosity level SAE 75W-90 guarantees both outstanding backflow behavior at low temperatures and high lubrication reliability at high temperatures. High fuel savings is achieved thanks to the special easy-running properties of ROPA gearOil GL5 75W-90. ROPA gearOil GL5 75W-90 synth is suitable for the universal supply of manual transmissions, auxiliary gears and axle gears, including hypoid-geared drive axles subject to the highest loads, among other things in commercial vehicles, agricultural machines, construction machines and passenger cars. The requirements according to API GL-4 and API GL-5 are amply fulfilled. In transmissions in which gear oils according to MAN 341 Type E3 and MAN 342 Type M3 are required, ROPA gearOil GL5 75W-90 synth can be used without a problem.

  • ROPA gearOil GL5 75W-140 LS synth is a completely synthetic hypoid gear oil with LS additive and is recommended especially for highly loaded drive axes with self-locking differential gears and multi-disk brakes. It is especially resistant at high temperatures and therefore extends the life span of lubricant and axle. Very good flow properties at low temperatures increase the protection right after starting. ROPA gearOil GL5 75W-140 LS synth contains special additives to limit slip (Limited-Slip = LS). ROPA gearOil GL5 75W-140 LS synth fulfills the highest power requirements posed by hypoid gears with multi-disk locking differentials. In transmissions in which gear oils according to MB sheet 235.61 and ZF TE-ML are required, ROPA gearOil GL5 75W-140 synth can be used without a problem.

  • ROPA gearFluid ATF is a gear oil for automatic transmissions, transmissions with multi-disk clutch and is also used as a hydraulic oil in various applications. Easy shifting is achieved thanks to the coordination of special additives with the friction used in the transmission. ROPA gearFluid ATF fulfills the General Motors specification ATF Dexron II D and is prescribed by well-known automobile manufacturers who use automatic transmissions compliant with Dexron II D. ROPA gearFluid ATF can also be used without problems in automatic transmissions compliant with the Mercedes-Benz requirement MB sheet 236.1.

ROPA engineOil E7 10W-40 is optimally attuned to all diesel motors in ROPA self-driving machines.
