At the IAA Frankfurt International Auto Show, ROPA won an award in the Automotive Brand Contest in the area of Connectivity and Commercial Vehicles. The international jury regards ROPA as a pioneer and innovator in vehicle construction and especially in agricultural technology. The new ROPA Tiger 6S is the product of digitalization and at the same time, the embodiment of agriculture 4.0. ROPA already offers extensive driver assistance systems and is at the same time a pioneer with regard to partially autonomous sugar beet harvesting. This award underscores the leading role of the world market leader in sugar beet harvesting technology, especially in the areas of digitalization and networking.

Overall concept of technical innovation, digitalization, and modern design

ROPA is convinced that an innovation is frequently only successful if a courageous vision meets the right technology and impressive design. ROPA wants to win its customers and users over with comprehensive solutions without compromises. ROPA is the partner that can assist its customers extensively in many areas - using new technologies, there are entirely new possibilities. ROPA's goal is to recognize and implement possibilities for digital optimization. And this has paid off; the R-Connect user interface combined with the new look & feel of the Tiger 6S have won over both the customers and the international jury of the "Design Council."

Award for the ROPA Tiger 6S - the technology leader defines the premium segment on the market

With up to 796 PS/585 kW, the ROPA Tiger 6S is the most powerful sugar beet harvester in the world.

Thanks to its patented and award-winning hydraulic R-Soil Protect chassis with still more sensitive slope control, the Tiger 6S is gentle on the soil when driving in fields, providing the basis for sustainable agriculture and soil protection during the sugar beet harvest.

The state-of-the-art cabin with its panoramic view creates a feeling of generous space and functions as a center for extensive driver assistance systems and partially autonomous sugar beet harvesting. The driver's position of the Tiger 6S is the visualization of technology leadership and the advent of a new era of networking in sugar beet harvesting. Operation of the terminal with interactive buttons as highlights in a clear color composition with a modern flat design is even more intuitive and corresponds to the logic of tablets and smartphones. Intentional contrasts increase legibility and usability. Furthermore, the Tiger 6S is the first sugar beet harvester that is features digital cameras as standard equipment. The digital cameras provide much better image quality and are connected directly via an additional Ethernet network to the two large 12.1" operating terminals. This high-tech machine is the epitome of innovation, digitalization, and networking in agricultural technology.

Printout of the innovative enhancements in the exterior design of the Tiger 6S

The new look of the ROPA Tiger 6S symbolizes digitalization and agriculture 4.0. The light blue line clarifies and stands for the networking of the Tiger with the R-Connect online portal. The emphasis of the new product logo relies on the smooth geometric forms in the low-poly style. Thanks to the play of light and shadow, the tiger 6S has additional depth and dynamics. The prominent coloration with dark gray exterior contours is in harmony with light aluminum gray and bright yellow. The Tiger is designed for pride in ownership, to arouse emotion and at the same time to meet the promise of quality.

Award for the R-Connect online portal, ROPA's telematics solution

The R-Connect portal offers drivers and heads of operations the perfect tool for online order evaluation and machine and fleet optimization. Where earlier it was necessary to make multiple phone calls or send data via e-mail, in the meantime, much more is possible; the head of operations can be online "live" on the machine.

That's why the ROPA Tiger 6S is equipped at the factory with extensive telematics hardware. It forms the basis for forward-looking service 4.0, with predictive analytics, as well as quick help and diagnosis in case service is required - on all continents. When service is required, if desired the service technician can switch directly to the terminal and the machine control and assist the driver, e.g. with problem-solving.

R-Connect should fulfill the user's requirements and make harvesting fun with its intuitive operation

ROPA's goal was and is to develop a digital product that fulfills the requirements of users and customers and also makes harvesting fun with its intuitive operation. From this, the whole team developed a product vision and strategy and worked intensively on the information architecture to achieve a perfect user flow. In the process, screen and interaction designs were designed, implemented, and tested. The result is an intuitive and clear R-Connect design. The dashboard features fresh, light colors, which makes a harmonious impression. The uniform, clear geometry ensures clarity of display and directs the user's focus to the essential elements. The neutral light gray background makes the platform appear technical; combined with the white blocks of information, the Web user interface gains additional depth in order to communicate critical content more quickly. The radiant, powerful ROPA yellow provides accents and gives the entire appearance a fresh look.

Automotive Brand Contest 2019 – competition as part of the international automobile show

The Automotive Brand Contest is the only international brand competition for automobile brands and commercial vehicles. With the competition, the design council rewards outstanding technical innovations, as well as product and communication design and focuses on the elementary significance of brand and brand design in the automobile and commercial vehicle industries. The focus is on the comprehensive, consistent display of the technology of the design and the brand all across the industry. The Automotive Brand Contest offers companies a public platform on which they can compare and position themselves and their services internationally. Awards are presented in 12 different categories and four special categories. The evaluation of the submissions is done according to the criteria overall concept, product aesthetics, and functionality. Submissions should especially take aspects such as longevity and sustainability into account. Factors such as design quality the degree of innovation in brand design also play a decisive role in the judging.
