ROPA demonstration 2020 not possible
It is ROPA's claim to provide the highest quality innovative technology. ROPA also organizes its demonstration according to this premise. Unfortunately, due to the current Corona pandemic and the resulting restrictions, it is not possible to conduct the traditional demonstration.
ROPA demonstration
Every other year, ROPA organizes its big demonstration, in alternation with Agritechnica. Two years ago, this event was held on the occasion of the opening of ROPA Rheinland in Viersen-Boisheim. For numerous visitors and fans of the agricultural scene, this big event has achieved cult status.
Review of ROPA's 2016 demonstration
More than 15,000 people from around the world came to the last ROPA demonstration in Sittelsdorf; it was held on the 27 ha premises of this family-owned company. Imposing harvesters, loaders, state-of-the-art sugar beet and potato harvesting technology, and ROPA's latest technical innovations were in use and on view for all to admire. An interesting framework program with festival hall, agricultural exhibition, a trade show with technology companies and plant breeders, plant tours, a fan shop, and much more provided plenty of entertainment for the guests.
Production is running according to plan
Production & assembly
Meanwhile, production, delivery, and spare parts service at ROPA are running according to plan. The long-term storage of important components has proven useful in recent weeks, so that delivery delays for supplier parts could be avoided and production could run continuously. The safety of ROPA's employees is our first priority. That's why, among other things, an extensive hygiene concept has been introduced, which includes the conversion to shift work in some departments.
Transport & delivery
Most of the loaders for the 2020 harvest season have already been completed. Currently, the production lines are running for the Keiler potato harvester and the Tiger 6S sugar beet harvester, which was presented at Agritechnica and has won several medals for its R-Soil Protect hydraulic chassis system and the integrated R-Connect telematics system. The completed machines are currently leaving the factory on low-bed trucks and they are on their way to their new owners in more than 40 countries around the globe.
