ROPA Maus 6 - the workhorse on a MEGA beet pile
In September, we observed the new Maus 6 at Rienecker und Theinert Transport GmbH in Wurzen in Saxony. The company is among the sugar beet logistics pioneers in eastern Germany.
The long-time, enthusiastic Maus driver Daniel Schuhmann "nibbled" at a sugar beet pile with a total length of approx. 350 meters using the new ROPA Maus 6.
The cabin of the Maus 6 offers a top-class workspace. As compared to the Maus 5, the cabin is 1,125 l or 35% larger than the cabin of the ROPA Maus 5, for a total volume of 4,400 l. It now offers more room also for a foldable passenger seat, e.g. for a supervisor or for coordination in case of a driver change.

At the end of September 2021, a new Panther 2S was accompanied on its initial deployment at Achim Reith in Vogelsberg in the Sömmerda region of Thuringia. In the future, the yellow two-axle machine will harvest approx. 600-700 hectares per season. The two drivers Stefan Jakob and Sebastian Franke will perform this task; they will share the machine in a two-shift system during the harvest. Reith's farm doesn't have a night shift. In 95% of the cases, loading is done with loaders or dumpers while harvesting. "Loading with the Panther 2S is much easier as compared to the competitor's previous model; the loading conveyor is placed better and you can see it very well from the cabin." This was the opinion of both drivers.
