Sören Kremeike operates his own farm with biogas system in Brome (eastern Lower Saxony) and serves as an agricultural contractor, who has specialized in sugar beets – from sowing to harvesting. Starting in 2015, sugar beet harvesting was done with a euro Tiger V8-4 with defoliator. For the 2020 harvest, the team selected a new Tiger 6S, also with defoliator. The reasons for the defoliator are the own biogas system and the demand for this process from various customers. When set correctly, very good defoliating results can be achieved. Service is provided by Palandt.

RES - ROPA defoliator

The speed and height of the two fully hydraulically powered and counter-rotating cleaning rotors can be independently adjusted – unique! The front shaft as a combined shaft is fitted with 92 steel blades and 148 cleaning rubbers, the second defoliator shaft is fitted with 168 cleaning rubbers.

Fascinating technical enhancements to the Tiger 6S

Due to the large catchment area, the 40 km/h speed was an important reason for selecting the Tiger 6S. The stepless CVR transmission ensures efficient power transfer without torque interruption. The power comes from a 768 HP Volvo diesel engine with a capacity of 16.12 liters. The Tiger 6S reaches its maximum speed of 40 km/h with an economical 1200 rpm. The R-Soil Protect hydraulic chassis system, which has received several awards, has slope compensation and roll stabilization has been enhanced further in the Tiger 6S. The Tiger 6S also features a 3-axle gyroscope with acceleration measurement for centrifugal force compensation for still finer slope control.

RR lifting unit with R-Contour

The RR lifting unit is equipped with 7 lifting rollers, hydraulic stone protection, and 850 mm feeler wheels. The unique R-Contour is a significant enhancement.

Comfort is the focus

The defoliator and the lifter assembly can be raised hydraulically up to 90° above the lifting unit for service (scalper flails, lifting shares). It is raised from the cabin by pressing a button without requiring the driver to leave the cabin, or from the ground using the push buttons. The diesel engine can be started and switched off by pushing a button on the lifter.

More throughput and increased overload capacity

The cleaning and feeding performance has improved significantly as compared to the euro-Tiger V8-4. Thanks to the larger seven-star cleaning and a wider bunker elevator, harvesting is even more gentle with more throughput.
The extra-long unloading conveyor is attached higher up. A great advantage when overloading on driving alongside trailers, as it is performed shallower. The unloading conveyor is 3-way foldable and 2000 mm wide for simple laying of 10-meter-wide piles or easy loading on trailers. Gentle polyurethane fingers guarantee high feeding capacity with short unloading times of less than 50 sec. with a full beet bunker holding approx. 43 m³.

Driver cabin with new interior and two large 12.1" color displays

The Tiger 6S has two 12.1" operating terminals with high pixel density and still-sharper resolution. In addition to the machine functions, the camera images can also be displayed on the terminal on the left A-pillar. The Tiger 6S has digital cameras as standard. The digital cameras provide much better image quality - for this greater data quantity, an additional Ethernet network has been integrated into the machine. When backing up or emptying the bunker, the appropriate camera image is displayed automatically on the left terminal. With the new ergonomic control element on the left armrest, the discharge conveyor and bunker emptying can be controlled more easily. On the right multi-function joystick, five function keys are available for programming, for example for the large-area windshield wiper.

R-Connect telematics and remote diagnosis standard

The standard integrated telematics module forms the basis for forward-looking Service 4.0, especially predictive analytics, as well as quick help and diagnosis in case service is required - on all continents. The R-Connect portal offers drivers and heads of operations the perfect tool for online order evaluation and machine and fleet optimization.

The dashboard shows the current status of the machines and the daily output.

The location, road and harvesting travel along with the current harvesting progress of the various machines can be viewed in the individual view along with additional details. Finished orders are transmitted to the R-Connect portal where they can be viewed and evaluated by the machine schedulers in the R-Connect online portal as well as downloaded.
