KEILER 2 RK22 Classic
RK22 in operation at the Wolkenburg farm
Wilhelm Stassen runs an arable farm in the region of Western Saxony with around 220 hectares of potatoes in crop rotation.
The Keiler 2 Classic with overloading bunker and in combination with a swather demonstrates its efficiency on loess, loamy soils.
The throughput rate is further increased when using deflector rollers instead of the UFK.
Focus on throughput and product protection
This method not only increases the efficiency, but also enhances gentle handling of the product. As there is always a large quantity of potatoes in the harvester, the tubers protect each other from bumping into any cleaning elements.
Keiler 2 RK22 Classic with overloading bunker for higher efficiency
The RK22 Classic specialises in combining power and high throughput with maximum product protection. The powerful hydraulics and very few deflection points in the cleaning path, with only two pintle belts, ensure maximum efficiency. Therefore, it is hardly surprising that the Wolkenburg farm mostly relies on the user-friendly and easily accessible Classic when harvesting potatoes.
CONVEYORS & ROLLERS - gentle cleaning
All belts and rollers are hydraulically driven, therefore their speed can be adjusted steplessly.

2. Picking conveyor
3. Pintle belt 1
4. Triple deflector roller
5. Leaf chain
6. Rotating finger comb (alternatively triple deflector roller)
7. Pintle belt 2
8. Dirt discharge conveyor (optional)
9. Trash conveyor
10. Trash return conveyor
11. Sieve conveyor 2
12. Trash discharge conveyor
13. Bunker pad-roll floor
Special features of the RK22 Classic
The RK22 Classic also offers extremely high throughput thanks to fewer deflection points in the length of its conveyors and the powerful hydraulic drives. The Classic is particularly effective on easy, loose soils.
The very spacious sorting stand has ample space for up to 8 persons at the gently rising and generously dimensioned picking conveyor with an optional trash track.Paired with the height-adjustable platforms this allows every workstation to be separately adjusted for maximum ease of working.

Efficient cleaning with 2 pintle belts
Many proven components of the Keiler 2 have been adopted in the design of the Keiler 2 RK22 Classic. The Keiler 2 RK22 Classic differs from the Keiler 2 mainly due to both pintle belts which function as separation units. The overall design demonstrates very high output with maximum product protection in regions with low cleaning requirements (sandy or light soils). The Keiler 2 RK22 Classic with the pintle belt 1 and pintle belt 2 cleaning systems is easy to monitor, it is accessible and easy to service.

Product quality and protection are the key points
The Keiler 2 Classic is our expert for light conditions. The Classic model has two pintle belts instead of four. The 2-pintle system combines product protection with the best possible quality control and high harvesting capacity. On sandy, well sieving soils, the crop is gently conveyed into the bunker along a shortened cleaning path. The gained space is used for an enlarged sorting stand, which offers space for up to 8 workers for a quality sorting.
