ROPA Maus 6 - the workhorse at a huge beet pile

In September, we had the pleasure to accompany the new Maus 6 at Rienecker und Theinert Transport GmbH near Wurzen in Saxony. The company is one of the pioneers of sugar beet logistics in eastern Germany.
At a beet pile with a total length of approx. 350 metres, the experienced and enthusiastic loader-driver Daniel Schuhmann "nibbled" with the new ROPA Maus 6.
The cab of the Maus 6 offers a top-class workplace. Compared to the Maus 5, the cabin of the Maus 6 with an enormous total volume of 4,400 l, offers 1,125 l or 35 percent more space and room. It now has more room also for a foldable passenger seat, e.g. for a supervisor or for coordination in case of a driver change.

First harvest of Panther 2S at Achim Reith, Vogelsberg in Thuringia

At the end of September 2021, a new Panther 2S was accompanied to its first harvest at Achim Reith in Vogelsberg in the district of Sömmerda in Thuringia. In the future, the yellow two-axle harvester will harvest about 600-700 ha of sugar beet per season. Stefan Jakob and Sebastian Franke, who share the machine during the campaign in a two-shift system, are responsible for it. There is no night shift at the Reith farm. In 95% of cases, the beet is loaded onto trucks or dump trucks during harvesting. "Overloading with the Panther 2S is a very big relief compared to the competitor's predecessor, as the truck conveyor is better placed and thus very easy to see from the cab," said both drivers unanimously.

ROPA Panther 2S - loading in France

Greatly improved efficiency paired with digital networking in the world's most powerful two-axle sugar-beet harvester from the international market leader. Philippe Willerval and his son Pierre are contractors and farmers in Mazingarbe (Pas-de-Calais). In the past, they harvested with belt-driven beet harvesters, but for this year's harvest campaign a ROPA Panther 2S was bought for the first time. They chose a ROPA machine because the ROPA brand has a solid reputation and the service quality is very good. The campaign went very well, the Panther 2S is efficient, user-friendly and very pleasant and comfortable to drive! Other great advantages are the engine power and the new joystick for bunker unloading, it's fantastic! "
