Sittelsdorf. On Sunday, 20th of November from 10 am, ROPA will be holding its traditional exhibition in Sittelsdorf with sugar beet and potato harvesting demonstrations – this year to celebrate the 30th anniversary of ROPA. Various self-propelled tractors, including the premiere of the new sugar beet harvesters, Tiger 6 and Panther 2, will be in use on the fields around the ROPA factory. The sugar beets are loaded directly after harvesting using the spectacular ROPA Maus 5 and are shredded and silaged at the pilot and testing biogas plant. As long as the harvesting conditions allow, potatoes will be harvested with the Keiler 1 and Keiler 2.

Once the harvesting demonstration is over, an extensive soil cultivation demonstration is planned with winter wheat sowing and field spraying by the company Horsch. The latest developments in GPS steering systems will be demonstrated by Reichhardt Elektronik. The world's most powerful all-road chipped, "Diamant", will be demonstrated by Albach.

There will be an interesting programme of events with extensive demonstrations of agricultural technology using numerous tractors, harvesting, potato, grassland, forestry and silage technology, as well as telescopic loaders, information stands from seed growing companies, biogas equipment manufacturers, service providers and much, much more.

In addition to the demonstration, the event will be held under the banner of ROPA's "togetherness". In the heated halls of the assembly centre with much larger hospitality areas, visitors can take time to discuss ideas. For their physical well-being, visitors will be served hearty delicacies, barbecue beef, as well as coffee and cake by the farmers. To keep the "young farmers" busy, there will be an array of children's activities on offer with numerous attractions, as well as pedal car and tractor courses.

Schedule and timetable:

There will be a welcome speech by Managing Directors Hermann Paintner and Dr. Eberhard Krayl at 10am.

The practical field demonstrations will then begin. 1.30 pm marks the start of the innovation and technology demonstrations on the beet field.

Next there will be a show demonstration of all machines.

The agricultural technology exhibition will be open until 5 pm.
