The Keilers harvested firm potatoes of the Amandine variety. The potatoes were then loaded into boxes and transported from the field directly to the packing centre. This process is typical for the Outarville area (Eure-et-Loir), where the calcareous clay soils, often with more than 30% of clay, allow the potatoes to grow a particularly nice peel. Due to the high content of clods and stones, this area requires machines with a gentle separation system to preserve the quality of the product. For this reason, our customers Les 3 Laboureurs, NegoBeauce, ETA Sébastien Bertheau and Boulet have chosen ROPA potato harvesters. The fully hydraulic drive in combination with the four pintle belts and the UFK separation system proves to be extremely efficient, product-protective and easy to maintain.

Occasionally, when harvesting potatoes from the beginning of August to the beginning of October, seven machines might work together in one field. Some machines start harvesting onions or garlic already in June. Our customers and their seven ROPA Keilers are supported by the well-trained service technicians of the ROPA France branch in Janville (Eure-et-Loir).
